Our human resources policy is to have an organization structure consisting of people who are team-mate, open to change, productive and suitable to our corporate merits, to improve such employees continuously in accordance with the culture of perfection and to become an organization which will fill its employees with pride.
Human Resources ¢€" (HR) process is represented under the Human Resources Vice General Directorate Office in Soyak and situated within the "Management Team" which is the top decision making mechanism. This group consists of Human Resources Team, Personnel and Administrative Affairs Team and Management System Team.
Selection and Positioning
In accordance with the expectations from HR policy, systematical selection and positioning activities are being carried out as taking the potential candidates into the organization pool and selecting these persons under healthy methods and equal opportunities without any discrimination of religion, nation, language, gender, age etc., and thus placing to the vacant positions considering the expected experience and capabilities of these persons.
In employments, the Human Resources Team performs the first interview on the base of capabilities. Compatibility of the candidate with the task, qualification and capabilities is reported. In order to evaluate if candidates who deemed suitable by HR, own the required technical information, team suitability and experience/proficiency required to perform the task in the desired level, the respective directors of the position makes the second interview with the relevant candidates. The candidates, who are deemed suitable as a result of all evaluations, are offered the relevant vacant position and implementations relating to the employment process are performed. In the selection and positioning process, all candidates are provided feedback about their applications. "Respect to Human Award" being given by www.kariyer.net which is one of our business partners publishing our personnel advertisements, was won by Soyak consecutively four times.
Training and Development
In order to ensure that our employees generate superiority to their organization in the competition challenge through adapting them in to the changes, Soyak focuses specially on training for to make its employees creative as in suit with the requirements of the information age, capable of overcoming the problems, know how to access, analyze and use the information, think flexible, demonstrate healthy behavior characteristics, and continue social, cultural and professional developments. Thus, it is intended to make our employees transform their own potential into a maximum performance.
Training and development activities of the personnel in Soyak start with the Orientation Program organized in order to ensure the compliance of employees with the organization, their teams and tasks and to instruct them about any subjects to be needed. Including the Supplier's employees, on-the-job trainings are organized within this scope. At the beginning of period, the "Training and Development Plan" is generated and activities pursuant to this plan are performed all the year round. There are also package programs, which are carried out since 2004, within this "Training and Development Plan". The "Leader Development Plan" with a standard content for increasing the leadership and coaching capabilities of all our directors and the "Talent Pool Program" for our employees bearing high potential, in order to accelerate and evaluate their development are implemented on a yearly basis as a consequence of collaboration made with independent consulting companies. An opportunity is given to the employee/director in a number determined in each year within the scope of budget to participate into MBA programs of our partner universities.
Performance Management
As a result of the common understanding created for the expected achievements for Soyak; assessments are carried out basing on the efforts shown towards the achievement of targets and the level of obtained success in order to increase the accomplishment possibilities of Company targets and to direct/develop the employees. Performance Management System consists of measurement system used for annual reviewing of the individual targets and expected proficiency levels of employees, annual planning, and target reviewing and assessment periods.
Social Rights
As a result of the collaboration made with catering companies, in our central building and projects, lunch is provided to our employees. Further services are present to facilitate our employees' transportation to their work places. In our central building and projects, facilities such as lounges, library, chess, backgammon, TV and newspaper corner, billiards, table tennis and etc., are open to all our employees. Also sport areas are provided for the personnel requesting to play football, basketball and volleyball.
Our Quality Management Systems Policy
In order to obtain efficient work results, it is our quality management systems policy to establish systems and to maintain continuous improvement, and within the sense of responsibility to satisfy our stakeholders' current and future expectations with the targeted results. Further to comply with the laws relating to the environment, health and safety and to develop preventive systems through determining any kind of danger.
Our Quality Management Systems Implementations
Strategy Management System
In each year, Soyak, in parallel to its corporate strategy, determines the Critical Success Factors including the underlying issues of that year. After determining the essential targets which support the each Critical Success Factor, sub-targets are defined with the contribution of employees. Later, all these targets are shared with them.
Process Management System
In order to improve the processes for primarily enabling to concentrate, using sources more efficiently, bringing all works & activities performed by us into a measurable position and obtaining better performance, Soyak established a Process Management System and provided its sustainability.
Integrated Management System
By force of the institutionalism, Soyak integrated its implementations with systems and further crowned its systems by certification. Thus it became the pioneer in its sector on the subject of quality. The accredited systems are ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety System and ISO 14001 Environment Management System and studies on the establishment of SA 8000 Social Responsibility Management System and ISO 27001 Information Security Management System are being continued.
EFQM Perfection Model
As well as being the first company participated into the National Quality Event and National Quality Award from the sector, Going on to the finals in the National Quality Award where the Company had participated for the first time and wining the National Quality Award are the Company's source of pride.
Employees' Contribution
Duty Teams: In Soyak, within the organization structure, duty teams are established intended for the improvement areas having priority and strategic importance and some corporate targets requiring the contribution of different functions.
The duty teams, formed by the participation of personnel from different functions and different titles, give authority and responsibility to the people to make research and to prepare presentation and report as individual or in sub-groups. Thus, a suitable environment is generated enabling personnel to show their talents and creativeness.
Through taking place in the Duty Teams in person or giving support to the handled projects, the Leaders, when necessary, encourage Team Members to take place as the "Duty Team Leader" and provide their contribution.
Recommendation System: In Soyak, employees' contribution is handled as a priority and put into practice with different tools. The recommendation system which is among these tools enables personnel to think about the improvement of current position and to introduce their opinions on subjects relating to the company.
Health - Safety - Environmental Implementations
Health:
Protecting its employees' health and safety, assessing all risks and considering the results, Soyak, including the central building and all projects, maintains on-site doctor, health staff and occupational safety specialist and builds health units used as a common health unit by the personnel.
Other Implementations:
Periodic vaccination, periodic examinations, lung - eye - audiometry controls, water analysis, hygiene controls, 7/24 hours Medline emergency health service, studies on office ergonomics, first aid trainings and teams.
Safety:
Controls of boiler and pressurized containers, generator controls, elevator controls, maintenance of air conditioning systems, grounding controls, calibration of measurement devices, emergency case drills.
Environment:
In our all projects, for environment related activities followed up by the occupational safety specialists, a report called "Environmental Impact Assessment" (EIA) is drawn up and the environmental conscious is created. Noise, dust, emission and lightning measurements, waste paper and battery controls and vehicle exhaust tests are carried out and also the hazardous wastes are sent to Izaydas A.S. according to the directive on wastes.
